Registration Information

1. Registration of new students

  • A new student has to take a diagnostic/placement test before joining the course to ensure compatibility with the course/programme. If he does not meet the minimum standards, the programme may not be suitable for him.
  • His joining the course will depend on the results of the test.
  • Only when there's a vacancy for him will he be asked to do the test because sometimes the lag time between test and vacancy is too great and the test may not be reflective.
  • The total amount paid will include a registration fee of RM35. No deposits required.

2. Registration and collection of fees for current students for each new term

  • Students will be informed of the term registration and collection of fees on the 6th week of the current term.
  • Collection of the new term fees will commence on the 8th week of the current term (two weeks before the end of the current term).
  • Fees can be paid by cheque or cash.
  • If payment is made by cheque, it should be made payable to
    'Creative Horizons Pte Ltd'.

3. Parents' Teacher Meeting (Feedback session)

  • There will be a Parents' Teacher meeting every term.
  • Parents will have the opportunity to meet the teachers twice a year.
  • Parents will be informed of the Parents' Teacher Meeting in their registration form for the new term on the 6th week of the current term.
  • Appointment to meet the teacher has to be made with the front office.
  • Parents' Teacher Meeting is always scheduled on the 8th week (Tuesday) and 9th week (Monday) of each term.

 4. Make-up Lesson

  • Students have to call in to arrange for make-up lessons.
  • If the class is full with 10 students, only 2 students will be allowed to do a make-up in that class. Each class can have a maximum capacity of only 12 students.
  • The make-up spaces will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
  • Each student can do a total of 6 make-up lessons in a term. However, he is not to do all the 6 make-up lessons in the same class so that he does not deprive others of the opportunity.
  • He can only do a maximum of 3 make-up lessons in any class.
  • Students who turn up unexpectedly or call in late for make-up lessons can do so if the class has a vacancy but must take a 'make-up' slip from the front office and present the slip to the teacher before joining the class.
  • No make-up lesson will be given if the lesson for the English Enrichment course falls on a public holiday.

 5. Public Holidays

  • First public holiday: There will be no lessons during public holidays and lessons are not replaced. Students will not be given make-up lessons.
  • Subsequent public holidays on the same day of the week: If students are affected by more than one public holiday, the Centre will give a refund so that they do not lose more than one paid lesson. But again, the Centre is not able to make-up as an option to refund.

 6. Withdrawal From Course

  • If a student withdraws during the term, there will be a withdrawal charge of RM150/- and fees for every lesson attended.
  • If a student withdraws before the term begins, there will be an administrative withdrawal charge of RM75/-.
